The communication strategy was to identify with a high school student’s challenge of choosing the right school. We wanted to identify with their thinking, not direct their thinking. The college had many niches such as being one of the very few schools in Massachusetts that offers an Art Education program. We created materials to focus on each of their niches: Nursing, Art Education, Music Education, Music Therapy, Fire and Criminal Justice. For three consecutive years this approach broke enrollment records.

This fundraiser brochure depicts the Sisters of St. Anne in 1963, transporting books from the old to the new library. The photo appeared in TIME magazine and in the school’s first fundraising literature along with the caption: “We have always been big on doing it ourselves, now we realize we need your help.” We used this image to kick of the 60 year anniversary fundraising campaign. “60 Years and moving forward”.
